While the nation and clubland were gripped in volcano fever we came and we danced. We didn't however escape the effects of the ash cloud that engulfed Europe's skys. It was announced that Francois K and Juan Atkins weren't able to make it from New York to appear in the main room, while Future Disco resident Dom Chung was stuck in Bahrain, after taking the Future Disco sounds to the East the night before.
Luckily Crazy P, who had been due to play in Russia, arrived in good time, and The Revenge, swapped planes for trains to make it for his debut Ministry of Sound and Future Disco appearance.
On the night, Sean Brosnan started things off, before Crazy P took over and Danielle's cool vocals rung out across the new named (and refurbished) bar / 103. Then at 2am The Revenge took over and treated us to a musical expedition, marching through genres while keeping the dancefloor firmly rocking. The last hour was a back to back session between last minute stand in, for the absent Dom, of Toby Tobias and Sean Brosnan.
We will be back at Ministry of Sound on Saturday 10th July, which forms part of the tour around the next album. News on the special headline guest in the coming weeks, but make sure you put it in the diary now and hopefully not a volcano in sight!
